I hope all manage to miss the worst of the snow and ice. Spent today taking thanksgiving day dinner to my moms house first for lunch, then packing everything up and going to my dads to repeat it for dinner. I am glad we did it but tired from yesterday cooking marathon and today playing delivery and preparing 2 full meals (for 5 people each meal) out of the coolers. Dogs are happy and tired because they love visiting each house and dont care about the long rides or stupid human headaches. The just know they got to beg hours of attention and quite a few tidbits from folks who obviously are better dog folks than we are (since we so obviously are nasty and neglectful, lol). Ever noticed how dogs always act like they are starved and unloved any time a relative is around? Little furry Traitors! LOL

I leave the door to (the one going outside) the back porch open when the dog is out. I was coming up from the coop, and he was watching for me. He saw me start up the hill, and he ran for the door, and up the steps. He wasn’t leaving anything to chance. He wanted to be inside where it’s warm, and he wasn’t letting me leave him outside. :gig

Any idea where I could get pheasants to raise with my chickens? Does anyone here have any experience with them? My husband hunts them but I think they're gorgeous birds and would love to raise some as pets.

So did some more looking into my male duck we are keeping. He could be a Silver Appleyard or Welsh Harlegquin. Those are the only 2 kinds from the hatchery they come from that he looms like. I tryed to get a picture of him by himslef but the others wanted in to. Lol

The one on the far left is definitely a Welsh Harlequin, not a Silver Appleyard.
