State College rural king has chicks, but they are big. At least 4 weeks old and almost fully feathered. Can you check with rural king and see if they got chicks this week? Usually they get them Wednesday or Thursday. If you can get 6 new hatched from them you can probably graft the broody.
Poor girl! She looks ok though. The fox will keep coming back, so the chickens have to stay in their run for a while. Sorry I don't know anything about those wildlife cam. Hoefully, you can find a nice one. There's been a fox hanging around lately, day and night, and he finally got his teeth into one of my girls. My husband was outside with them, but he went into the garage for a couple minutes. He ran back out when he heard the ruckus, just in time to see the fox streak back into the bushes. The hen had gotten away on her own. She was bleeding a little and her tail is totally gone, but I think she'll be okay.
So we've upped our daytime security procedures, and I'm thinking of getting a wildlife cam to keep an eye out at night. The highly-rated ones seem a little pricey, especially if we end up getting more than one. Any recommendations? Are they worth it?

Thanks. Yes, she's okay, although the wounds were deeper than I first realized. And the other hens were pecking at her and pulling more feathers, so we put her in a separate/adjoining area with our 8-week pullets who just came outside. I was a little nervous, but they're all taking to each other well. Maybe that part will turn out to be a bonus when it comes time to integrate everyone.Poor girl! She looks ok though. Those are philodendrons, a common and easily grown houseplant. They cannot survive winter outside, but do great outside in a shady place for the summer. They vine and hang and do well in hanging baskets, or draped over a trellis of some sort. very easy to propagate, just take 6 or 8 inches off the end of a vine, pull the lower leaves off and stick it in a glass of water on a windowsill. Pot up in a few weeks when they have a lot of roots, or leave them in the water and add some plant food every now and then.Does anyone know what these plants are? I recently received eight pots of them, but I have no information. I don't even know if they're meant for outside or indoors. There are two different varieties, with lighter and darker leaves. Maybe they're a common Pennsylvania plant I just don't know about yet?
