Insane enough to take on 5 kids that aren't mine, 2 cats, and it must be spring cause we have CHICKENS!!! I have 3 each of Barred Rocks, Red Pullets, Brown Leghorns, Speckled Sussex, EEs, BLRW, Buff Orps, Wellies and Delawares.2 Marans and 2 Ameracaunnas, and then there are my adorable 5th Anniversary present, a trio of Silver Sebrights. Lost one of my girl Sebrights, so down to a duo.

When was your five -year? Mine was this year. Guess what I asked for?

Okay, fess up, women! How many others got chicks for their anniversary? Fifth or other?
I got fifteen. If I get 15 for five years, do I get 20 for my tenth (# of years plus 10) or 30 (# of years times three)?? See? Chicken math is a serious illness! VERY catchy too!

More of a darker brown with even darker raised speckles

I got Seramas for Valentines Day, and Splash Silkies for my birthday. I got a coop for having a "Bad Day", and alot of chicken related projects are completed just by pretending to have a Bad Day, and Christmas isn't even here yet. Wonder if I'll ever be satisfied with a real present again? Probably not, I'm already wanting a bigger deluxe waterer, can you say," Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the Way!"

i am taking that young JG roo, and I have splash marans in the incubator now, does this sound like a good stock for meat birds...I am not concerned about the slow growth, I just need size...I will keep supplementing with freedom rangers until they get going and I have enough to start hatching my own.
