We go every week for the produce. Have stepped inside to "look" at the birds,..watched them getting "loaded" into their crates..yeah, even the hubby said"lets' go"...a bit rough. Will definitely have to check out Green Dragon,

Remember a few things about buying at places like that:

1) you are getting someone's hard culls.

2) quarantine

3) & 4) quarantine!!!!

I have taken roos to the auction when I can't find them a home anywhere else. I have bought from an auction only once and I no longer have those birds....

Purdy, what they said! Green Dragon is a haul for us....but well worth it. Plus, it's a Friday...so no work the next day.

curiosity gets the best of me...all the time,

soooo, just going to look...I would MUCH rather acquire any animal from someone I have personally met/know..(get to see where the "animaI" has been raised and how), I think that goes for alot of things.... and yes, Quarantine is something I have been reading that alot of peoples problems probably could have been all together avoided or at the very least, minimized!

appleyard , and ancona. still in on pekin and a mixed bag....
greeen dragon is quite a distance for us also, but worth it, think we spend more on eating than anything.

Hubby says not too far for us..approx.1/2hr- 20 mins., depending on traffic....we are in East Petersburg...Green Dragon is in Ephrata right?
