Pens in a Barn

Since you talked about the netting, I am assuming you are talking about the barn. The barn has a concrete floor. Treated 2"x4"s were screwed to the floor and then the walls were built up from there. Every once in a while some of the wall uprights are doubled up because the beams were cracked or sagging.

Yes, the wire is 2X4. The poultry netting was added after I had a couple escape through the 2x4 wire. I just never removed it.

If you are referring to the outdoor run, the main frame/posts are from the lean-to that use to be there (just like the other side of the barn). I "temporarily" (4 years ago) used 2"X4"s to give additional support to the wire. The outdoor run is not exactly the way I want it, but it needs to come back down so I can re-side the barn.

The wire on the outdoor run is the same 2x4 welded wire, 6' high.

This is so cool! Just about the same idea I have had for a chicken barn, if I ever get the money! The only difference is I would also have large outside seperated runs. Actually, the barn i have now is designed like this but way smaller. I only have 4 pens, about 2x4 each on the inside. 2 of those pens has seperated outside runs, 8x4 each. The 3rd pen has a 4x4 run and the last pen doesnt have a run, I intend to use it for baby chicks.
