People Who Expressed Interest in my Heelers- Update on Post #786

Buster, have you put him in the crate before, just so it's not a new experience for him and he'll be a bit more comfortable?

Wildsky, that is the funniest thing ever, too bad you didn't have your camera. My ducks do that to my blue heeler when she goes in the pen and lays down, they always go for her big ears first

I'll let you guys know as soon as he gets here, and how he is. Puppies this young can normally handle the trip much better then an older puppy or dog, so hopefully he'll be okay. I just can't believe that it's going to take him over 12 hours to get here, I thought more around 5-8 hours. How was he in the crate?

He was just fine- he likes to hide a bit more than some of them did and he feels secure in places like that so I'm sure he will be fine.

When you get him home, I would let him come out of the crate on his own accord when he feels comfortable. That will help him be more secure when he arrives and meets everyone.

Ginja came out the crate really slow - in the walmart parking lot.... one eye full of two kids and she BOUNCED over to them, licking and rolling around on the little grass patch I told them to stay on!
(then she peed!

She spent the drive home going from one kid to the other on the back seat, before passing out after about half an hour!

OH and I forgot to tell you, little Ginja woke my hubby up last night, at around 1:30 she was whining next to the bed, so he took her out to pee.... she's SO dang SMART!!
