People Who Expressed Interest in my Heelers- Update on Post #786

Ginja got an EGG this morning, cracked into a bowl - first she didn't know what the heck I was trying to pull - I had to break up the yolk with a fork and then she licked that bowl all the way around the kitchen TWICE!

She's now apparently getting an egg a day - the kids think its funny how fast that egg disapears

I'm thinking ahead to winter. First off I want to buy Ginja some boots for playing in the snow. (I know I'm a dork) anyway - I was wondering how difficult it would be to train or teach her to pull a child on a sled? WOuld that be too much for her? My one child weighs around 50-60 pounds I think - the other one is about half that. I wouldn't expect her to pull up hill, just along the driveway or something (FLAT)

Whatcha think?

Heelers are great pullers! We have our blue heeler pull kids around in a sleigh all the time, she loves it and the kids love it! You'd be surprised at how much they can pull too.

Oh fantastic - I bet they'll ALL have a blast - I'll actually look about a nice harness type thing for her, that'll keep her AND the kids out of trouble!

They have special pulling harnesses. We have one for our heeler, and our pit bull, they both love to pull. I'll have to get some pictures of them soon!

Here's a great website- http://www.pulldoggies.com/

You
can even compete- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tOMH_YS0k0

We're
planning on competing with our pit bull.

I have one of those, and personally I didn't really like it for pulling. The ones I have spread the weight evenly over the dog so it's easier for them to pull. These harnesses are more racing/skijoring. Good luck in your search!
