I have them on Diamond Dog food puppy chow. Diamond is a great line and I personally won't feed anything else. There is cheaper stuff and more expensive stuff, but Diamond gives you a good quality food without costing you your left arm. JMHO.

When our blue heeler was a puppy we fed her a cooked meet diet to help strengthen her bones, I read if they are fed a grain diet they get lanky and aren't good to work cattle, I'm sure if that's true or not.

I got just the puppy kind, in the blue/purplish bag...

will work - I'm sure they're very similar.

I've been working on making my own cat food..... I'm sure the puppy will receive some of that, I'm not goin gto cook for pets every day - but every second day or so.
