Every time a YouTube commentator starts talking about their computer setup, I start giggling tragically. Fancy desktop setups, 30+ frames per second... *Sigh* on the desktop computer I get to use, I'm lucky to get 10 FPS on render distance: tiny.

The laptop is better, but still seems wimpy compared to these peoples' supercomputers.

I know. I get a good 7-17 FPS unless I'm on a superflat world (only used it once). Then I get like 25-30 FPS unless I look up at the sky. Then I get around 35. I use a laptop, so I'm not too upset about it LOL

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's funny, a few days ago when you complained about your FPS, I thought it sounded terrible. Then I checked to see what my computer does.

The bright side is that I sometimes make a game of trying to see if I can squeeze a few more frames out of the computer. It's kind of fun.

I get about 50-60 FPS on average, just because I altered the default coding so I can have my FPS limit to five hundred.

Wow. That's pretty impressive!

I'd be absolutely happy with 15 FPS. That's higher than Walt Disney's standard, I think. What was good enough for him is good enough for me.
I should find out what the laptop gets though. It's always super smooth to use, so I'd guess maybe as much as 20. It's hard to estimate things like that though.

WELL THEN. I felt brave and started screwing with my router connections... and somehow screwed up so badly that I opened my 25565 port and set up It'a Minecraft server by COMPLETE ACCIDENT. It was REALLY weird, haha. xD But ANYWAY, I suppose I'm up hahaha. Here's the IP:

How does one connect to a server? I never have before, and I would like to try it.

Go to Multiplayer, press 'Add Server', enter the desired IP, and it will pop up onto your server list. From there, click on the server and press 'Join Server'. There are two alerts that can come up:

Cannot reach server - This just means the server is not open
Cannot resolve hostname - This means the hostname is wrong.

Malibu, if you want to come to my server, it will flash off and on occasionally. It shouldn't be up through this week until about 5, but it's up now.
