turn your game on easy. wait all night w/ a barricaded door wait til morning go outside kill every spider you see (they aren't hostile in the day unless you attack) and turn the string into wool w/ the 2x2 square of string.

Screenshots for Minecraft (strictly Minecraft only): Press F2
Accessing them: Search your computer for 'Roaming'. When you find your folder, click it and open up .minecraft. There will be a screenshots folder right there~

CinnamonQueen: Go to your Minecraft options and click the button that says Difficulty: Normal until it says Difficulty: Easy.

MCraft-NPoultry: I don't think you can tame spiders without installing a mod... :/

And about screenshots: if you press F1, you can hide the crosshairs and the chat messages and stuff. Then when you screenshot with F2, it'll look tidier.
