Sounds tiring, but fun! :thumbsup

Any of you ever tried surviving on a superflat world, using only villages to get supplies? I think that's my new favorite game style.

Hey, whatever makes you happy. Minecraft is an infinite sandbox, and using cheats is a perfectly acceptable way to play. :old I still play in peaceful mode mostly.

Although yesterday I forgot to switch back to peaceful before visiting my peaceful world, and I got my enchanting room blown up by a creeper. I should've hit escape, but I panicked and tried to back out the door. And missed the door.
Fortunately I only needed to replace a few bookshelves.

Oh, I understand now. :D My brain just doesn't work well sometimes.

The monsters aren't too bad usually, but I can understand your concern. I found that changing the gamerules helped me a lot:
/gamerule keepInventory true
/gamerule mobGriefing false
These commands greatly limit the damage hostile mobs can do, since the first one means you never lose your items and the second one keeps creepers from blowing holes in your home. With them set up, you can practice fighting mobs without much worry.
Or you can continue to play peaceful mode, because that's a lot of fun too. :weee
