people with house chickens

Does anyone have a Rooster for a house chicken? I raised a chick from hatch and its been a house chicken today I learned its a Rooster..just wondering if its possible to have as a house pet
Both Rover and Einstein are roosters. I found that Rover makes the BEST house chicken out of all of ours. If your ok with the constant crowing, then i think (with work) they can be as great house chickens as any hen. and they certainly get pretty. It really depends if you are lenient and willing to put in the effort. and if crowing doesn't drive you off the end. Did I mention the crowing?

Kyle: we adopted a new kitten lol #6 cat. Because Maxine is missing Rambo so much since he passed away a month ago. I buried him where I can see his headstone frome my kitchen window. He was a black guardian cat. The kitten is solid black we named her Shadow bec she likes to follow us around :)
Sorry to hear about Rambo. ( i really like that name) kittens are amazing. so playful. i try to play with my cat Cutie, She is 14 years old. lets just say shes not really feeling it too often anymore. but she still has her kitten moments (whens shes hopped up on catnip. lol) Shadow is an Awesome name too. I love hearing people act all superstitious about our black cat. his names Independence, but I'm the only one that calls him that anymore. everybody calls him Handsome. your zoo seems to be expending.lol keep those cats coming. Six, wow thats alot. LETS SEE SOME PICTURES! WE NEED KITTEN PICTURES!

As mentioned, roosters make awesome house chickens! Phantom (my 2.4 pounds of amazing 6 month old Silkie) is all the evidence anyone would ever need. Sure, he crows, but I can sleep through it. He's the sweetest thing ever, he's funny, charming, the best cuddler ever... Yeah, he's the best.

Oh, and I have 6 other house roosters as well. 4 of them are currently learning to crow. Phantom and my frizzle (feather duster, Onyx, d**khead) are full blown crowing.

Oh, hey everyone. Remember how I had a Sebright pullet? Yeah.... Her comb literally turned red overnight, and she grew little wattles... Overnight. So... Yeah...

Here are some pictures of Rover the house Rooster hanging out on the dog gate. a proof in point of the success of house Roosters

Hey Hows my favorite new bro doing? I haven't been on much lately either but I was starting to think you got a new hobby- yeah right with what time? Anywho, nice to hear from you again and the babies are still adorable. No my guineas are still screaming. all day and all friggin night too. just the girls. the boys are chasing them around all day  and part of the night....I think my babies are not babies  anymore. I am pm'ing a friend of mine on here from the guinea forum to ask her sage advice before  I throttle my babies. Even my chickens are getting ****** off.  Lemme know if you need help naming that little cutie and quit being a stranger.Hope everything is going good otherwise. Take care,ok.

Hello, my favorite sis!

I am so sorry about those screeching little monsters... I wish I could say "I can relate/sympathize", but hearing my little baby rooster jerks learning to crow just makes me laugh and go "awwwww". And yeah, I just can't believe that the Sebright baby is looking to be a rooster. It very literally happened overnight. I woke up on Sunday morning, and that previously pale non-comb has turned into a red bump. And there are tiny wattles where there were none the day before. Those are red as well. All of a sudden, it makes all the sense in the world as to why "she" has been picking fights will all the D'uccle roosters. Crap.

Also, yes. I have no idea what to name the Serama! It would help if I had an idea on gender, but really, I couldn't even make an educated guess. I'm usually good at naming pets, but I've got nothing here. I'm open to suggestions :)

Kyle: Rover looks awesome! Haha. I mean, ridiculous! That is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

Chickie Momma: Really pulling for Marilyn over here. More TV and pillows!

Ha ha. That's exactly what happened here too. Last summer when i bought my four chicks at the feed store, the last four they had with booted feet. Literally overnight i went from what i thought was one roo and four pullets to " holy s----! we got three boys and a girl." It was crazy! But theyall get along. They look like muppets now with the fuzzy toes. Especially whenthey do the little "rooster stampy dance", or when two of the brothers stand off. They stamp up to each other beak to beak with heads lowered and neck and cape feathers open like an umbrella and just stare at each other. Its great to watch. I yell at them to knock it off and their fine. So far. They are about 7 months i think, i gotta look at the calendar to be sure, but they are getting all grown up. i was hoping to hatch out some chicks this spring but odds are good that i would wind up with more mini roosters and i don't know what i would do. i cant/wont kill them i would probably try to keep them and just make sure they were separate from their daddys. My yard is going to start looking like a country farm soon. Thats ok, the sun was out here yesterday and it was so nice to let the birds out for playtime. Anyway i gotta go. Take c are.

See - muppet feet! This is before I knew what they were - back when I was naive enough to think one cockerel and three pullets. stupid me

How do you let her roam the house as far as going to the bathroom? Dogs are trained to go outside, cats are litterbox trained, what do you do with her? Just clean up after her?
