people with house chickens

I have a house chicken that is an EE. When she was a little chick her mother stepped on her and then didn't want her anymore as she couldn't walk. I took her in but I really thought she wouldn't make it. Now she is very strong and even went broody and now she has her own chicks.

Ever since she has hatched her chicks she sleeps on a little blanket in my bed so that I just have to chuck the poo-poo out in the morning. Beforehand she used to sleep on my bookcase in a box;)
She really is enjoying it now that she has chicks and I am too!!!!

The photo quality makes her look like a Spangled Orloff. Are the chicks' dad an EE also?

So sorry about the bad photo. My phone can't take good pics. Yes the chicks dad is also an EE

Don't be sorry - I think having an EE that looks a lot like a Spangled Orloff is beautiful. In fact the Orloffs could pass as EEs as well with their fluffy muffs and beards. It's too bad the critical list USA Orloffs aren't as good layers as Ameraucanas and EEs. All your EE chicks look similar with a lot of blacks and blues maybe? The most common EE feathering is a golden laced variety with black highlights but your chicks aren't displaying the common browns, golds, or silver but more of the rarer blues and blacks. How will you ever be able to part with all of them?
