Kong will kill king?? That majestic bird wouldn’t kill a fly. He’s a sweetheart.I do this, also.
Tho, my difference is solid wind breaks in the winter and a secondary fence in summer about a foot out from runs to prevent close contact thru runs.
My Marans roo 'Kong' will kill my mixed flock roo 'King'.
Yes... Kongs, Kings and 6 in the bachelor. I'll have a 3rd flock this spring with Poppy (the White boy) for BBS Silver Marans.Ha I just replied to you!
Ok so you’re saying 2 flocks each with a rooster, and an additional bachelor flock? I can totally do that. Also that white guy is beautiful!!
Ooo boy you ARE about multiplying! I love it! Ok I can do that. Thankfully I have space. So I’m thinking I’ll have a bantam flock, a standard flock and then my cockerels flock. Of course I’ll have to give my little Cochin about 2-4 additional bantams…(he likes the ladies) welp more chicks it is, and as luck would have it I have a broody!Yes... Thanks..Solo (the Black Silver) just started laying so I'm waiting a week or 2 and going to set some eggs from her and Kong as she's still in his flock. That will put her 'type and low tail' into the BCM females. All males will be culls. (Silver leakage)Omg!! It is not!! Awwww they turned out so beautiful, although I’m not surprised. Wow you’re doing such an awesome job!
Thank you so much. Those are good looking birds!
Right right right..so you said words I don’t understand, leakage and BBS, and cull I hope isn’t like ya know..off with their heads.Thanks..Solo (the Black Silver) just started laying so I'm waiting a week or 2 and going to set some eggs from her and Kong as she's still in his flock. Then I'll pen her with Poppy for more BBS Silvers. I'm not sure yet if he's hiding Black or Blue.
