One would be hard pressed to find hormone and antibiotic added chicken feed in the US these days.

Antibiotics are different. I think it's valid to say no antibiotics were used, if you can prove that statement is accurate. That's not always the case with industrial chicken production.

Yeah, that. Added hormones are ILLEGAL for use in poultry in the US.
 
Thanks for pointing out about the hormone's and for the web site. When I was in 4-H (15yrs ago) I was asked if I want a hormone implant put in the steers ear (I declined). As for the antibiotic we make there own feed from a friends crops so I know what is in the feed.
 
we are getting $3 per pound.

based on input costs i dont feel it can be economically done for less than $2.5 per pound based on my scale.
