Another thought to add: Breeds of chickens are based on phenotype not genotype: though certainly the genotype plays a major role.

In a grading system the traditional way it has been done is by using various females with straight bred males.
 
Sorry, I was replying to Henk69. Yes, from a breed-standard standpoint, it matters only that the birds meet the standard and can reproduce their traits when paired to others that meet the standard. But "percentage of bloodline" goes deeper than "meeting a standard."

I just needed the chart to show a relative of mine a basic outline. But, I like to read about breeding and genetics and everyone's posts have been very interesting
