Perch height ???

Hello. I am picking up my first chickens this weekend. I just finished building my new coop and I was curious what the height of the perch should be. This is a picture of what I built. Is the perch too low ? Will the chickens go over the perches to reach the nest boxes on the other side or does the perch have to be high enough for them to go under it ? If so whats the minimum height it should be for them to fit under it ?

They are approximately 8 inches from the top of the perch to the floor.

they will either go over or under, either way they will use the whole space
looks nice enough for me to live in it !!!!
