Mine are on sand instead of wood shavings or anything so they don't need a bowl of it, they spend ages scratching through the sand.

Yep ditto. Mine are the same age and started trying to fly today too.

Geez, I have mine in a plastic tub with a light, and 2 pie pans..... one with gravel and water and one with feed. You guy sure spoil your birds loL!
