Anyone find it hilarious on the Perdue commercial floating around the internet where they try to gross people out about factory chickens eating things like bones, blood, and other animal by products?

I'm not a big fan of the chicken industry....but what, are they trying to make people think chickens are naturally vegetarians?

Chickens will eat anything that doesn't eat them first. And that includes some bone, blood, and other animals.

Yes!!! That's exactly my reaction to those commercials! They are obviously taking advantage of the fact that the great majority of folks have NO IDEA what chickens eat. They've clearly never watched a hen eat a mouse, her own feathers for protein or a baby robin that's fallen out of a nest.

I put that ad in the same category as the egg producers that tell me their eggs are produced by vegetarian chickens. I don't think so.

My chickens cornered a muskrat. There was nothing left except for the head. I just cant figure out how they did it.
