I was wondering if anyone knows of an evergreen perrenial vine or plant that would climb my chickens run that isn't bad for them. I know that they would more than likely eat all of it that they could reach but my bantams are only so tall. Thanks, Playswithfowl

English or Boston Ivy keeps it's leaves. One of them turn red in the fall. The disadvantages are that these vines may kill other plants or will need a measure of maintenance to keep it going where you want it.

I have a sweet autumn Clematis planted at my coop walkway. They smell wonderful are evergreen and pretty in the spring and summer.

I was wondering the same thing!!!

However, I HATE Ivy!!

What else could I plant that could cover at least part of the run??

grapevine. I planted one in my run. I walled it off with hardware cloth to keep them from destroying it as it grows. Hopefully we'll all be enjoying some grapes someday too
