Perfectly healthy hen DEAD today!

I was shocked (and am still shaking) when I went to the coop to collect eggs today and saw our beloved Scooter dead. Yesterday she showed no signs or symptoms of anything abnormal. I am clueless and have absolutely no idea what may have happened...please share any thoughts. Others 4 hens are out of the coop and appear to be acting normally. Sad day and my kids will be devestated when they get home from school.

I'm so sorry. Had that exact experience recently myself and we deduced from her position on the floor that she may have flown off the roost and hit the wall somehow. And then, there are sometimes internal issues you just don't realize.

Even a chicken can have a heart attack. Or eat a bee or wasp and be affected by the sting.
There's just no telling sometimes.
