Peritonitis?

Our large black austrolorp hen hasn't ever been a consistent layer. Huge egg, though. We've been noticing her laying less and less and now her last egg was Dec 5. We had found a couple soft shelled eggs before then and figured it was her. She does not eat the oyster shells. Only the egg shells we have provided.
We noticed her starting to move around less so with a gloved hand I went and checked for stuck egg. Felt nothing. I then saw a poop that looked like It contained cooked yolk. Just knew it was her.
This morning a broken soft shell was hanging from her vent. Any idea what I can do myself for her?

Can you take her to a vet? If not, you could try oral calcium supplements to help with making shells and antibiotics in case she has an infection in her repro tract.

It does sound like she is laying internally, and could be a good candidate for developing egg yolk peritonitis. Casportpony has given good advice about calcium, antibiotics, and a vet could prescribe better antibiotics, as well as xrays and other diagnostic tests.
