Permanent fermented feed?

I see that some people add apple cider vinegar to feed as it ferments. Is this ok since I thought that apple cider vinegar was only to be added there water occasionally? Is it fine to have ACV in there feed permanently then?

I feed only FF and use ACV with mother to make it and also use it in their water 1x a week been doing this many years and can’t say it’s ever been harmful but it is helpful and healthful.

I never added ACV to my fermented. When I first started my batch, I let it sit for 3 days and it fermented on it's own. Now after I feed out the portion for the day, I back slop whats left in the container with fresh feed and it is fermented by the next morning. I also have dry crumble available for them, since I'm not home all day.

I like the fermented feed but it was too difficult to keep up with in the winter (i don't have/can't afford) heated feed bowls. Also had trouble keeping the cat from dumping over my ferment containers ended up wasting so much I decided to hold off till spring and try again.
When I did it for 2 months oct/nov the amount of crumbles/food eaten was the same amount as the dry. My feed was just a store bought grower/finisher at the time.

I am working towards going whole grain this next year and trying sprouted grain as a supplement to fermenting. So i'll ferment my whole grains and sprout some too. I believe that using whole grains to ferment will lower the amount of feed they eat, it just didn't work like that with my bag of store bought feed.
