Permanent...yet moveable?

Me and BF started on the coop yesterday. So far it's coming along pretty well. He made it so that he can pull the BIG loader up to it and pretty much put the forks under it and lift it up and carry it wherever I need it. He also said he'll use the panel idea for the run.

It's coming along great! We got the floor and one wall done yesterday and we'll finish it today. The run will come this weekend probably.

Permanent, yet moveable chicken coop for 24 chickens.... that's a tough one. And it is going to be real heavy.
I would suggest your plans incorporate wheels. Perhaps you can get an old car axle from the junk yard and build your coop on top of that?

8x10 on skids. I have 22 birds in there now. It would be very easy to extend this to 8x12 or even 10x12. Here's a photo of it almost done.

Granted, it is designed to be moved by a tractor, not a pair of teenagers

Yes we have a huge loader that BF uses to move 15 foot pine logs from their pile to the sawmill. It's got forks on it that we can easily slide under the coop. BF put skids on the bottom.

ps: just turned 20 yesterday so officially not a teenager anymore!
