My main rooster has Always had a problem with lice. I can dust him on a regular basis and the poor guy will still be covered with them or have them all over his feather bases. I have now noticed that my younger pullets and roo have them all over in their beards, I am guessing because they don't dust their faces very well... but whatever the cause, I want them gone and i'd like to know if Permethrin 10% Livestock Insecticide is okay to use on chickens and if so how much for a 5-8lb chicken?
The local feed store carries in it a large jug for around $100 but I found a 32oz. bottle online for about $18 so If it'll work I would like to buy it to get rid of the lice for good.
