Permethrin spray

Pics
Hi all, i have a question.
Is tetramethrin toxic for birds, to put in their feathers?
i found a permethrin concentrate 10% but it contains tetrametrine...

I just put a pile of DE on my coop floor then use a 30 dollar mini leaf blower or garage shop blower and hit the pile with it. Takes 30 seconds.

If I use a spray, I'll create 5 gallons of colloidal silver. That kills anything bacterial or viral.

@Waves , I have no idea. here it's not difficult to buy permethrin labeled for livestock, including poultry, and it works well. other combination products are NOT labeled for poultry here, and if the stuff you found isn't labeled for poultry, i guess it's 'use at your own risk'.
You may be able to contact poultry experts there, and ask.

Fine for tomatoes @DuckYouMan , not so much for poultry....or anything else with lungs.

I've read through this entire thread. I have 3 girls with leg mites. I have applied vaseline a couple times a week now for 10 weeks. I really rub it in and push/glob it under the scales that stick out. It's better, but its not gone. I saw the question about permethrin being used for leg mites but not a clear answer? Has anybody had any luck?
It makes me feel bad to have to grab these girls (I got from somewhere else as a package deal for a coop on Craigslist) who were not handled much at all. They run around the coop squawking, all freaked out. They just are scared. No amount of petting or treats help. I'm tired of doing this, they are tired of it MORE than me, I'm sure. I'm looking for a quick end to this. Advice?

Actually, it works great for chicken coops. I dont actually use it while the brids are in there and the dust settles within 5 minutes. I absolutely do use it on my chicks dust bath though. Any issues caused by it can be completely avoided with common sense.

Mites are probably all dead, no need to treat further...but...Scaly Leg Mites can damage the scales, it can take weeks to months for them to grow back, if they do at all.
Sorry, no quick end.

Common sense tells me not to spread DE all over the place, it doesn't kill bugs anyway. If there are actually poultry pests on my birds I use permethrin to kill them.
