Hi all

My runner has a persistent cut on the middle joint of his middle toe, photo attached below
It started last summer when he 1st started going for walks (long story but he's a house duck) so we got him a pair of shoes which he wears every time we take him out and this stopped him from getting other sores.
The wound is always kept clean, never been infected or bled, but it won't close up. For the most part it doesn't bother him, but he's very clumsy and every time he falls it bothers him for about a week or so.
He's not quiet 1 yr old so keeping him off his feet for any period of time isn't an option and when he doesn't have his shoes on he is on carpet 99% of the time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for helping it to heal/close up?

I would try a spray on or paint on "false skin" dressing sometimes called liquid bandage. Here are a couple of examples.

Get one from your local pharmacy
