Personalities that"Rock" -a serious question re: partridge

I have two PR hens. I had a PR roo but he died about two weeks ago. Which I still haven't fugured out why. I got mine from MM hatchery back in April. So they are hatchery quality. But I am very happy with the way they turned out. They are gorgeous birds really.

I'll try and get some pics of my PR hens tommorrow. Here is my PR roo. Its the only picture I have of him

. Its not a very good one.

Very timely thread... I have been exchanging emails with a local breeder. He has many breeds of chickens, some that are hard to come by. I asked if he has Partridge Rocks expecting a "No". He actually has them! I just reserved one

. I also reserved 3 BLRW along with a few others

. These are all locally raised less than one hour from my home. I requested pullets less than 1 week old. I will be picking these up in early April (I have a reason that I need to wait until then).

Namble- I think he is pretty - look at the glossy feathers!

Felidaet - good for you- and good luck with them! BLRW are beautiful birds, too.

Thanks everyone, for responding! Now I just have to decide what to do!!!
