Personality Disorder???

My 25 week old Australorp just laid her first egg three days ago (YAAAAYYY!

). In the week or so leading up to this event she COMPLETELY changed her personality. She has become extremely bold, happy to be held and petted (she was much more skottish before), comes running whenever she sees me coming and has even been trying to pull the laundry down from the clothesline...
What is going on here? Has anyone else experienced such a dramatic change in personailty related to egg-laying? Weird...

I had the same personality change in mine. Once they got close to laying they began to squat when I'd come by and were fine being held. I always look forward to that squat milestone
