Persuading the girls to take medication

My chooks absolutely hate water with any kind of medication in, even if its a baking hot day - they'd rather dehydrate then drink it!

This can be a real problem when it comes to worming or antibiotics. The only way I've managed to get them to take in any medication is stirred up some yogurt! They love it so much they don't seem to mind the medication in there. It still has to be weak and they don't always finish it..

Does anyone else have any tips for getting picky chickens to drink medications?

When I had to vaccinate my chickens a vet friend recommended removing all sources of drinking water for an hour before replacing it with the medicated water. What I ended up doing to make sure they all got their dose, was to replace their drinking water with the medicated one first thing in the morning before I let them out. They all ate and drank water first thing after I let them loose, so I knew I got them all dosed.
