I seem to be raising a huge flock of english sparrows, unwillingly of course. I keep the feeders inside, but one wall of my interior is just 2x4 fence mesh, and they come in by the dozens every time my birds make feeding noises, and from the looks of the droppings, plenty of early morning hours before I go out as well. I try to sweep up their droppings and put into the trash to minimize contanimation, but it's everywhere. What advice can you give me?

How about a Treadle feeder. The feed bin doesnt open till the chicken steps on it there are several different types online and there are at least two sets of plans right here on this site. Wont completely get rid of the sparrows but food will me much much less available they will go elsewhere. The Treadle feeders are supposed to keep the mice out too.
