Pest proof waterer

Some mice we're hanging around to eat my chicken's feed, so I got a pest proof feeder. Now they're drinking from their waterer. Are there any pest proof waterers that allow my three chickens to drink together?

Yes there are. Use a nipple system with 3 nipples. Nipples come as horizontal nipples or vertical nipples. I use horizontal nipples as they are least likely to freeze and I live where the winters are very cold.

Get a bucket with lid. Install whichever type of nipple you prefer. Make sure you drill a few small holes around the top of the bucket to prevent making a vacuum. Remove all other sources of water. The chickens will be attracted to that shiny metal with bright red plastic around it. They will be curious and will begin to peck at the nipples. Once one of them figures out water comes from the nipples they will all learn. Might take a couple hours. Mice can not work the nipples.

Ok thanks! I looked on Amazon (I'm not very handy) and found one with two nipples. Do you think my three will fight over that?

No they would share just fine. I usually have 3 or 4 nipples for a dozen birds. Maybe you can borrow a drill and a bit and make your own. You drill the hole and screw in the nipple and you are basically done except for adding a small hole near the top. So much cheaper that way.
