Pestcide Question

I think of this sort of thing in terms of risk to the chickens and risk to you.

given that it is low risk to chickens, that's a good thing for your chickens, as for you, I'd keep them away from that stuff for a couple days just out of a an abundance of caution with respect to eating their eggs or meat. I would think watering the area would help dilute it. there is basically nowhere on our lot that we won't ever, one way or another, ingest something from it so we opt to keep it more or less organic.
 
Anything that the hen ingests or absorbs will land in her egg yolks! I'd be furious, and report this episode to the company and to your state oversight people.
Practically, rinse and keep the birds in for a while, at least until the stuff has a chance to wash away (into the aquifer!) and be less present in your lawn.
