PET CHICKEN OWNERS UNITE

I have a year an a half old silkie and her name is Babykins and she is going to be a show bird this year at the fair and I am slowly introducing her to life in the house. Whenever my mom and dad are gone, I sneak her into the house and give her a bath and an apple for being so good.I also have a show rooster named sparta who has also been in my room, I really do not care about the fact that my birds could get me seriously sick, I share my food all the time with them and let them eat the same thing that I am eating. I just love having them in the house

Hi everyone!

I am just reaching out to inquire a few things. I have two chickens that I took in from a chick hatching program at my school. I have raised them inside the house since they were about a week old. I recently got a small coop so they could start spending time outdoors throughout the day while I’m at work, but I bring them in every night to sleep in a crate.

The chickens are very domesticated and enjoy laying with me and cuddling. One of them is a rooster and I unfortunately can not keep him in my small suburb. I am currently trying to find them a good home where they can go together but I just worry and wonder will they be able to adapt to a normal chicken life? Or I have domesticated them too much that they will struggle?
