Hey all! I was hoping someone on here was knowledgeable enough to help me out.
I have a pet buff duck, about 8 months old, who has been limping for maybe 4 weeks now. Someone was walking in the coop and tripped, and it spooked the duck or something (he did not land on the duck, just near him), and since then he has been limping. It's only ever so slightly, and he doesn't seem bothered by it as he still runs EVERYWHERE and swims around just fine, but limping the whole way.
A vet isn't an option, so I was hoping if anyone had any ideas on what his injury could be and what I should do, if anything? Is it just a bad sprain, or is it possible he could have dislocated something? When he stands still, he leans to his opposite leg, and keeps the heel of his injured foot up, but the front and toes of his foot he puts weight on. Should I be worried since he hasn't had any improvement for 4 weeks, even though he doesn't seem to mind the limp?
Thanks so much for any advice!
