Pet Peeves

On the subject of dirty dishes...
I will stay up late even when I'm tired to make sure the sink is clean before going to bed. Why? Because waking up to a dirty kitchen p*sses me off. So the pet peeve? When despite having cleaned the kitchen before bed, I wake up to find the sink full of dirty dishes because DH had "a snack" in the middle of the night 🙄. Like.... you saw the kitchen was tidy, so wash the frigging dish, put it in the half-full dishwasher, or at the very least add water to it so it doesn't turn to dried on concrete by morning! But for the love of all things sane, don't just leave it in the sink!
My Grandmother would say never leave dirty dishes overnight because if you die during the night the neighbors will think your a bad house keeper. I would think, if I'm dead why would I care.

When you merge over for road construction and that one #@$@#$@#$ decides to zip right up to the barriers and then jam their way back in to traffic, flipping off whoever they cut off becuse they're too entitled or impatient to merge over. You saw those signs just like the rest of us did, bub. Poor planning on your part is no one else's emergency.
When Hubby & I drove tractor-trailer they would try cut us off but they would not succeed. It's called the "Law of Tonnage"! Our tractor-trailer is bigger than your Toyota, don't even try, you'll have a very bad outcome.

When chairs have uneven legs and tip whenever you move

I was trying to paint for class the other day, and every time I leaned back to get a look at the still life my chair would tip back. Every time I leaned forward to paint, it would tip forward. :barnie

I keep trying to watch these new shows on the streaming apps, and my goodness... either people can't act, or writers can't write. It's like everything was written by aliens that have no idea how humans interact. Totally breaks immersion.

One example: some middle-aged, beer guzzling, park ranger will not speak like he's a Gilmore girl. Give me a break.
