The current use of the word "myself", as in Myself and Sue went to the movies, or Dave and myself built this. Our teachers always told us to that the other person out of the sentence, and it should still work. So, I wouldn't say Myself went to the movies, or Myself built this.A pet peeve is "something a particular person finds especially annoying".
