Pet Peeves

Yes.
Had a few dishes setting on counter needing washed. That's not a habit of mine so wasn't expecting anything when I grabbed up a big skillet and quickly discovered a snake curled up half under it and behind it.
Not my best moment but like a little girl I jumped and tossed the skillet as it started uncoiling. Saw my hammer laying down the counter within reach so to regain my masculinity I grabbed it and proceeded with overkill hammering.
Killed the snake and knocked the backsplash off that wall in the process.
Surprisingly no countertops were injured.
I am cackling like a hocus pocus witch reading this. Thank you for the delightful story

When you're washing the bed sheets and the fitted sheet eats the flat sheet, condensing everything into a ball that will never dry. Bonus points if the ball is silent while being tossed about the dryer and does not alert me to its presence.

I laugh, but only because I know exactly what you mean! Yes, it has happened to me.

Even worse was when I used powdered laundry soap and there was a big, solidified chunk of it in the sheet. That prompted my switch to liquid laundry soap.
Ugh! I've had that happen with those powder packets, which made me switch to Charlie's Soap. Smooth sailing now, though I still can't solve the fitted sheet conundrum. 😂

I wash the fitted sheets in one load and the flat by itself. We have a king so the flat is a load by itself anyway.
