Pet Peeves

Off-leash dogs. It's illegal and DANGEROUS. 🤬 If your dog is off your own property they must be on a leash, it's a county law. This really ticks me off, especially on hiking trails. You endanger your dog, wildlife, and other peoples' animals on the trails (dogs, horses, donkeys, pack animals, etc.). STOP IT.
I've been chased by one dog too many. I know a friend who got hurt by one while riding a bike. Dog owners around here are irresponsible and the dogs pay for it. I had to chase a dog back to its fence in a normal neighborhood once. I knew what dog it was since it had chased me all too often, and the owners swatted it even though their fence was WIDE OPEN.

Whoops missed the rest. Still annoying though and I understand. :hugs

I hear you! Ihad a husky mix who hated people and dogs. I always kept him leashed. What peeved me were the people with their "friendly" dogs off-leash. Then I had to deal with a dog coming up to mine, trying to hold my dog while shooing away another before it got itself killed. Just because your dog is sweet doesn't mean every other dog is!

I've experienced that.

The exception is if it's a service dog, or a working dog (farm herding dog) and they're actively working, and a leash inhibits their ability to do their job.
Both those situations require the dogs to be under your control at all times.

My favorite pet peeve, is the sheer idiocy that so many people exhibit, growing more every year. The inability to follow basic logic, understanding of cause and effect.
I all too often, see the actions taken by people, lead to dire consequences and immediately think, "how did you imagine that was going to work out"?
