Pet Pigs, Male or Female?

My 1st year in Ag I had a boar that we cut. My 2nd year year I had a guilt. Both were equally gentle. It all has to do with the time you spend with them.
Is this going to be a pet until it is big enough to eat? Keeping it longer? A fixed male will only be a pet and eventually food. An unfixed female can be a pet, food, or provider of more piggies.
Once a sow has piglets, that can be a whole new ballgame. Some won't let you get near their piglets. Others don't care.

I have a Boar who is the friendliest little guy but I have spent a lot of time working with him! Leash, a few tricks, ect... and my new female is slowly coming along as well. though these are my first two I think it just depends on how much time you put into them
