Pet-sitting for the Neighbors "Foodchain"

We have lots of animals...

My feed bill is slightly under $300.00 a month

I only know because my dear sweet DH likes to tell me over and over

I have alot also.
7 dogs (mostly drop offs)
8 cats (mostly drop offs)
1 pot belly pig (nobody wanted)
1 Wild hog (neighbor kid had and was not feeding it right so I kinda took it) now weighs over 200 lbs, and on a diet.

3 horses
2 rabbits (also give aways)
1 raccoon ( being bottle fed)
5 turkeys
45 chickens
2 sheep
1 parakeet
3 fish ponds with goldfish
1 butterfly garden

We also have lots of skeeters. I thinking of building a bat house, when we finish getting the garden ready to plant this fall. Did I say we stay very busy.

Thank you all for posting this. I am going to show it to DH to prove that I am NOT insane. We have a mere 2 dogs, 3 cats, 36 chickens, 13 turkeys, 1 turtle, 2 fish. I am practically normal.

Wish there was a way to make you feel better. The number of other critters must have been a little much sometimes. I cant talk though- we used to have a cat, and 2 dogs that had 11 pups in one litter.

That doesn't sound like so much on this site - but we were living in a camper at the time.

well, I have 6 Nigerian Dwarf goats, 3 dogs (2 Great Pyrenees, 1 Border Collie/Australian Shep), 2 cats that are about to have a new home (I love them but I love my chicks more), 3 horses (1 stays at our friends place he is old and retired, 1 is a mini, and the other belongs to a friend she is boarding him at our place), and over 50 (yeah, I've gone chicken-crazy!!) chickens. We also have a rabbit that just hops around so I don't really count her, and a guinea pig too. On the property we also have 2 mini donkeys (Shrek and Fiona) and 6 Nubian mix goats... we kinda co-own them with my FIL. I take care of them.

Wow... and everyone thinks I have a lot of pets!!! I have 3 labs, 1 cat, and 7 ducks, plus 35 various eggs in the bator. At one point though I had 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 ducks, 2 horses, 30 pigeons or so, 2 snakes, and 4 rabbits. That was a lot. Now, I feel almost lonely!

Well lets see if I can remember what all is here. 2 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 ducks, 20 guineas, and somewhere around 250 chickens. And thats not counting the neighbors chickens and dogs that stay over here more than they stay at home.
