Pet snails anyone? *WARNING crazy awesome pics attached*

I dont know why but I want a pet snail soo bad...not sure where I would get one. I'v never seen one in the area even though Im pretty outdoorsy.
I think these pictures might have something with me finding them so dang cute!

What kind of snails are those? They don't look like the ones in our backyard. Yes we have snails here

I like snails, too. I've tried to put the little ones in a terrarium. They always disappear. I don't know if they get out or--worse.
