Pet turkeys whta breed would be the best??

I am looking to get some turkeys as pets only and was wondering what breed would be the best to get for pets??

We have blue slates and they are so very docile and sweet and they can reproduce naturally. They are a medium size bird and they don't get in a hurry about anything unless they see the feed bucket LOL.

I've got blacks and mottled blacks. One of the blacks in particular is like a dog. She'll come and sit beside you and let you pet and pat and rub and scratch her and just sit there till you get up and leave. lol

i had a royal palm tom, he was soooooo loving, i could hold him anytime.

I have 2 blue slate toms and they are very sweet. I raised them from poults. I also have a bourban red/mix. He is sweet too. I got him as an adult, tho sweet, he's a little more timid.

I haven't put any kind of effort or handling into making pets out of my turkeys, but a pair of my hatchery Bourbon Reds with come right up to me and let me pet them and everything.

But I think if you hand raise them from poults, any breed will do well, I've found that turkey poults imprint to humans a lot better than chicks or ducklings.

My vote is for Narragansett. They are very calm and stay close to home.
