Peter the Roo - Name this Breed Pah-leeze!

Well, Peter grew up and is now about 3 months old... and I am still clueless as to what kind he is... and yes, I am a 'new' chicken mom and learning lots of lessons...

Any ideas?



Never, ever, ever again will I buy straight run - I have 9 roos that I know of out of 18. Selling them off tomorrow.

I hate that I have to sell them - I fell in love with each and every one of them. I can't make myself do roo stew so I will take them to a local poultry swap...

Telling from the ear muffs and mixed color, it looks like an Easter egger.

EE, Easter egger possibly. Not sure about the comb. Maybe an EE cross? His color looks EE anyway.

I went to a poultry trade yesterday and they told me he was a cross Easter Egger and something else because he didn't have the peacomb. Don't know how true that is - I am still a new chicky mom... lol...

Who knows? I gave him away to someone who loved him.

An easter egger is a cross.Ameraucana X something else. Not all EEs have pea combs since they are mutts they dont always get them.

Thanks for that clarification! I am learning... he was pretty, but IF I decide on a rooster, I want a more 'traditional' one anyway!
