Pharaoh Quail/Coturnix Quail

We bought some pharaoh quail at a sale today. The man said they were pharaoh when we asked if they were Coturnix. Are they not the same thing. From the internet, it seems that they are the same.

It depends. Yes, pharoah and coturnix is the same thing, but some people refer to the normal sized birds as pharoahs, and the larger birds as jumbos. So they could mean either pharoah as in the size, or they could mean coturnix, it's really a toss-up.
