Pheasant chat and hatch-a-long!!!

Just leave some feed around in several spots. Put out a waterer also!

Ive benn dumping feed along the fence line and they were already used to drinking water out of a kiddie pool which I have one in the corner for the piggies, and a bucket for the goats next to a 40 gal water tank for the cow. I’m putting the 5gal waterer out as well, but I wanted to scrub it first and haven’t gotten to it yet

The dogs flushed beavis (the male with very few feathers) out today he squeezed through the gate, and ran down the driveway avoiding the dogs. I locked the dogs up but he went into the bushes in the fence row instead of going back to the gate. im hoping I can manage to get him back in or butthead will call him back.

Maybe one of those deer feeders that throws grain on a timer?

I think we’re going to put one of these out…..im kicking myself for ditching the one I had for the chickens now

I have 1 lone pheasant chick from an egg my last broody duck sneaked in her clutch. It was in the brooder tote with my BC chicks. Over the weekend, Waldo managed to escape the brooder tote twice and is too small to put in my chain-link kennel brooder so we had to use a little ingenuity. Mr muddy grabbed 2 large milk crates that were in the shed along with a couple zip ties and that holds him for a couple more weeks. I put a couple of the chicks in for company.

1 Year old as of today! Both Peach males from the same cock, different hen!
They are in the middle of their 1st adult molt.

My single pheasant is still appearing to be a hen….but won’t know for sure for a bit yet.
She’s doing better in the run with the Guinea keets and nugget meat chicks
