I wanted to have a chat like this so we can share pictures and stories of our pheasants.

Here's my boy. His name is Luke, he's my 2 and a half year old red golden pheasant. I also have his sister, Leia (sorry, I'm a Star Wars fan). I will try and find a picture of her too. Luke is moulting at the moment, I will get some pictures of him when he's got all his beautiful new feathers.

I only have the two goldens at the moment. I'm going to get another female golden as a mate for Luke. I'd love to see pics of other people's pheasants, whatever species.

Kinda, I’m in South Carolina and I haven’t had to much luck, considering I can’t drive yet, all I have is a permit rn

How loud are red golden pheasants? would they be alright with neighbors? Like how loud are they compared to quail and chicken roosters?

Here's their call, it's not too noisy, not as loud as a rooster.

How often do they call? They sound somewhat like a wild bird. They are just so beautiful!
