Pheasant/chicken hybrid photos

I just found this thread and I think it’s absolutely fascinating! Hope we get to see more updates on these projects! I keep Golden Pheasants with my Red Jungle Fowl but I’ve never had them cross with each other and tbh I never thought about it.
I have a roo to three hens ratio on each.

Have you had any hybrid that lays eggs or that try to mount? It would seem that their Sterility is due to their sexual organs not developing successfully. Perhaps if one starts with hormone treatment early as chicks one could get a fully developed male or hen that would lay or mount

hormone treatment? Is that even possible for pheasants or chickens?

I'm thinking about doing a Watermael x D'uccle x Golden Pheasant, I figure there will be many that will not be fertile but eventually there will be a 4th and 5th generation that can be cleaned up.

I see that the Palawan Peacock-Pheasant is for sale at decent prices on e bay in the spring when most birds are doing the thing. I think they don't lay many eggs but it's very interesting to see exotic birds becoming available, 🤔 🪶 🕊️🐓 🦚 🐔 🦤🦃🦅

So for years I’ve been very interested in pheasant/chicken hybrids and I’ve always enjoyed finding pictures and videos of them. The issue is though, that it’s really a pain to find them sometimes, so I decided to collect every picture I could and post them in one spot. If you have any pictures that I don’t have, please share them!🙂
I have one here at my house with me the ducks chase him but he ❤️ loves them

I know this tread is very old... But I have a Golden Pheasant make that's nearly a year old and FINALLY entering his molt into his adult feathers!

And I also just so happen to have a bunch of mix breed pullets that need another good 4-5 months before they start laying... And since Golden pheasants don't hit peak fertility until they reach right around 2 years I'm hoping to put some of these young mix breed pullets in with him right before they hit 6 months and begin laying to hopefully hatch some cool crosses!!!

I heard someone say in either this thread or another that pheasants that evolved more closely alongside jungle fowl might have higher fertility rates in their offspring so I'm hoping to cross any hybrid sons back to chickens!

I'm really starting to wonder if F2 would have crests and if F1 hens would only lay a pheasants amount of eggs... And how well would they fly? Could F1 birds be safely free ranged? What about F2? Would the pheasant genetics help increase broodiness genes or survival instincts? SO many questions!!!
