Makes you wonder what other combinations are possible. I'd like to try crossing Golden pheasants to chickens next. Can you imagine a chicken with all the colors of a Golden? That would really be yard art! That is awesome but I really didn't think it could happen at all?!?!?

It wasn't difficult at all, but I would probably use a smaller rooster next time ... he was a little bit rough on her so I separated them. I've actually hatched a couple more since the first three. At least half the eggs were fertile. I could have hatched out a dozen or more if I'd had a better incubator to start with.Just look at them! I so am going to breed some myself![]()
You're probably right about that, I wont be able to have them as yard birds, they'd be gone in an instant if I let them out.they look like there getting strong wing and tail feathers migth be able to fly like pheasants.
Over dramatic much?Well here comes the end of pheasants. They will be endangered forever and no one else will ever see a pure pheasant.Glad I had my 30 years of enjoying them. Why don't you guys just stick with chickens if you don't like pheasants?
In N.H.,Tony.
That's where it all starts. When and if you invest 30+ years of trying to keep something pure then you will understand. There are so many pheasant species of the endangered list it isn't funny.I'm talking ornamental pheasants, not just ringnecks.Pictured are a few of my pure birds.tony k t just becouse 1 person hatches a mix between a chicken and a pheasant dosn't mean everbody on earth is going to do the same people are still going to hatch pheasants![]()
