Charlie, if you don't mind me asking, isn't a blueback a form of a ringneck? if a ringneck x blue back is a different type wouldnt it still be a ringneck?

Yes it is a ring neck as well, but a ques they have slight differences in genetics or specific type of breedings used to make them.. just like all the silly types you see on egg bid...all different colors and some are genetically bigger than others..some fly faster, some bred just bigger for butchering birds..the list goes on with them,

I didn't really do my homework on it, Just wanted some to have and well now its been a few years of messing around with them. but they are lots of fun..Was gonna add some Afghan blood in there but changed my mind on that..

The Manchurian Pheasants are unique in their own way. Originating from upper Mongolia this ring neck pheasant is considered by some to be the true breed of ring neck pheasants. They are larger than the Chinese ring necks found in the wild in north america and are sometimes called "Blue backs" because the blue patches of feathers on the back and wings. The males are bigger than the females weighing around 3 to 3.5 lb.. at maturity. strong flight characteristics and high reproduction rates. They are also very winter hardy.
